Hi guys! I have an insurance agent for the past 1.5 years but I don't find him very efficient. I'm thinking of replacing him with another. How do I go about doing it? I'm not sure if there was some agreement between me and him when I engaged him the first time. Any advice?

Car insurance.

Hi LaRita. You can just switch without any problem. If you aren't satisfied with your current agent, you are under no obligation to purchase again from him/ her. So before your next renewal, if you don't have a preferred agent already by then, just look for a few agents and request for quotation.

Hope that helps!/Elin

Hi Rita,

If it's car insurance and you do not plan to sell your car soon. You can switch to any agent during renewal.

However, if you plan to sell your car soon, you are not advise to change because the refund from new insurer will be lesser than the refund from old insurer due to short period and pro-rated calculation.

If you have any doubts, do drop me an email.

Thank You!

For car insurance, simply buy with another agent upon renewal 🙂
